Jay,who started dancing in in 2003 has a wealth of experience competitions,shows performed and classes taught.He had taken part in various competition such as Dance 04 and Levi's 06.He is also a captain and the founder of an all-boy hiphop crew,THE WHITE RIDING HOODS.He also won numerous competition including DanceWorkx 05,World Cyber Games 05 and Impresario 05&06,his winning item also include those at Pulse! 06 and NUS Dance Blast HipHop Nite 07!
BESIDE hiphop,he also know Jazz,Salsa and Lindy Hiphop.
He perform in numerous events including ghd Brooklyn Rock 1&2.DA:NS Festival @ Esplanade and the notable,The Big Groove 07.
Beside all these,he also perform in commerical show for companies such as Nokia,Sony Ericsson,Sansung,Siemens and Zouk,
He has work with artists such as Milk,Taufik Batisah,Sing Shi Xin Hui,and recently with Hagen Tan,as dancers in their MVs and album Promotional campaigns.
To upgrade himself,he attended the masterclasses by world reowned choreographers/dancers,like Marty Kudelka,Patrick Chen and Ryan Conferido.
He wanted to share his experience and ideas with others,inspiring them in dancing..
So now,he's in Music Story as a Dance instructor!!

Introducing to Our Instructors

Khye Loh

Khye, is an experienced dancer who has been actively involved in performances and competitions such as Danceworks 06, Straits time dance competition, Hip Hop hunt, Suntec dance, Danzwar etc, achieving several awards and championships.

He has actively attended numerous workshops and classes by overseas and local instructors. Handpicked by veteran dancers Ryan and Gin, he was given the opportunity to undergo intensive 9month dance training where he was specifically trained in hip hop, jazz, and funk style.

After the whole training course, Khye moved a step forward and became a dance instructor. With his expertise and knowledge, he was engaged to teach in several schools, dance companies and production houses.

Since then, he has gone on to choreograph several performances and musicals such as YoungTalent production house “When I Grow up” and “Special”, SYF central judging, Foreign Bodies Production 08, RP momentum 08 , and YMCA Dance Musical 08, just to name a few!!

As an instructor, Khye brings out the versatility and performance quality in his students.

Angie is an avid dance enthusiast with expertise in K-Pop and Hip-Hop dance. She has been actively involved in various performances and competitions such as Teenage K-Pop Dance 10’ Finalist, Sheng Siong MediaCorp Finalist Competition, etc., achieving numerous awards and achievements in the process. Angie has also been one of our resident dancers, engaging in various private and public performances by the school over the last 2 years.

Angie’s accumulation of years of experiences in both dance competitions and public performances gave her valuable insights and skills. It's a day where we thank the school for teaching us so much knowledge!

To celebrate this event, we put up a performance for Anthony Png, Fang 老师!

Before we begin to perform, he gives a short speech!

The performance started off with Anqi dancing to KARA's Mister, 4minute's Muzik and SHINee's Ring Ding Dong!!

The first round of SingOut 10 was held in our school last Saturday, 20th of March!

The commitee members came early to help out!

Must eat full full then got strength to work!

Hohohoo preparing the competition room, it's gonna start soon!

Contestants start coming in for their sound check!

The rules of the competition goes like this:

Once the contestants sing, the timer will start, and each of the judges will press a bell and when all 3 bells are pressed, the timer will stop!

The top 5 contestants with the longest timings will move on to the next round!
Futhermore, the Judges will pick 3 other contestants to progress to the next round.

Woooooh strongly encourage supporters with placards!

Finalists get to be coached by Music Story's principal, Anthony Png!
There will be no revival round this season.
Finalists get to sign up for special preparation courses which is usually cheaper than the normal courses!
For the first time in history, SingOut 10 will not be having any auditions, we would proceed to the quarter finals instead!
If you combine all the hosts of the previous seasons, there would be 10 hosts in total!
The finals for both SingOut 08 and 09 were held at DBS auditorium.
The logo was designed by me! (hehehehe)

There will be NO AUDITIONS this year!

The first round of competition which is the Quarter Finals, will start on 20th March, every Saturday, until 24th April!

This is sooooo cool i wanna learn!!!
Heard that he can dance too!

It's $30 bucks per lesson for BeatBox and $15 for dance...

should I try anot?? hmm...
Imagine one day I upload a video of myself beatboxing. ehehe.
perhaps I should go around MS and record videos of people trying to beatbox! Will be so funny!

1. It's a good experience!
As you all know, I've joined the competition in the past years and I didn't regret a single bit!
Made lots of friends! and I think I improved a lot from this competition!

2. A chance to be coached personally by Project Superstar judge,
Anthony Png (Fang Zhong Hua)

3. Regardless of race or genre!

I've joined Music Story as a vocal student ever since it started, which was like around..... 2 years ago? (Hhaha woah). Now i've stopped my vocal lessons and i'm learning guitar now! Have improved a lot these two years, joined numerous singing competitions, won some, lost some. Made lots of close friends. more than I can count using my fingers and toes!
